10 Things You Can Expect
Much like myself, Wildish Ways is a work in progress. Things are constantly shifting and evolving. Here’s a little more about what you can expect from me along the way:
Doable health and wellness tips
I’ve been nerding out on these subjects since middle school and love sharing what has (and hasn’t) worked for me when it comes to food, fitness, relationships, mental health, and work. I’m all about keeping things simple, flexible, and affordable. I encourage you to take what works for you and your body and lifestyle and ditch the rest.
Simple ideas to deepen your yoga practice
I’m embracing my inner yogi generalist! I have a background teaching Yin Yoga, Power Vinyasa, and Yoga Sculpt. I believe we all need something a little different depending on the season, life-phase, or energy level. From deep breaths to low back love I’ve got a million ideas that will help you get what you need out of your yoga practice.
Healthy, easy, mostly vegetarian recipes
I love to play in the kitchen AND I have the attention span of a gnat. I’ll be sharing quick and simple recipes that fill you up without weighing you down. I’m not into labels, but you can count on me for mostly vegetarian, real-food ideas with tons of suggested swaps to suit your personal eating style. I am also a beverage fiend so get ready for some tasty mocktails!
Fun new playlists to move or relax to
One of my favorite parts of being a yoga teacher is creating playlists. I could (and often do) spend HOURS searching for new songs and shuffling them into just the right order to suit the mood. Get excited for music you can move, cook, or even nap to. I also love new music suggestions so please keep them coming!
A lot of gray area and wiggle room
I really don’t like rules. And it’s not because I am a rebel without a cause. It’s mostly because I feel incredibly compelled to follow them since I HATE getting in trouble or feeling judged. So I embrace the gray areas. I see many sides. And I encourage you to always have grace with yourself and make your own decisions - in all aspects of life.
Honest stories about people on the path less traveled
I’m definitely here to share my own story and offer insights based on my personal experience. But the former journalism student in me is also dying to share the stories of so many other amazing humans I know who are doing things differently, forging their own paths, and making this world a better place.
Non-judgment
This is a judgement free zone. I firmly believe that what works for me doesn’t make sense for everybody - and that goes beyond diet and fitness routines. I want to hold space for people of different backgrounds, body types, races, abilities, and belief systems. I will say that I draw a hard line when it comes to hate, discrimination, and violence - there’s no room for that here!
Opportunities to work together in person
Let’s get together! I currently offer private yoga sessions here in Bellingham, WA. You can sign up for 1:1 sessions or get started with a buddy. I’m also planning to host fun events and retreats revolving around incredible food, community, movement and getting outside. Last, but not least, I’ll be offering holistic (think big picture, full life) health coaching beginning this winter!
An outdoorsy passion for sustainability
Nature has always been a beautiful source of peace, joy, and adventure for me. I grew up in the PNW hiking, camping, berry picking, and boating - rain or shine. I’m passionate about bringing sustainability (as well as social justice) into the fold of wellness. Because it’s all connected. We just can’t truly be well if the planet and our neighbors aren’t.
Probably a lot about pregnancy and becoming a mom
Holy cow this is a big one! I’ve gained so much peace of mind and connection by reading stories of other women and plan to fully share my own journey to, through, and beyond pregnancy. No holding back. No sugar coating. Realness only. In fact, I’ll be sharing my “getting pregnant story” when we get back from Hawaii!
That’s all for now. Let me know what you’re looking for to support your own health journey. I’d love to hear from you.
Sending love!
